Affirm Aware: Affirmations are Fashionable

Kathryn Haydn-Hays, the owner of California based Affirm-Aware, said that her company produced spiritual/positive products that are also green, socially responsible, sweatshop-free and people first.

Whew! My brain rattled around my skull like a bouncy ball - so many of my favorite terms and beliefs wrapped into one product - do tell me what this is!

Kathryn went on to describe her main product, the AffirmaTee. Kathryn stated, "Our passion and came out of an " aha" moment for me when I realized that all so called message shirts are made as billboards for the world to read and I wanted something personal, something positive and affirming that I could read every time I saw my reflection. So we designed affirmation wear that is very unique, beautiful, organic, sweatshop-free and designed in mirror image."

I visited the affirm-aware.org website and viewed their beautiful organic cotton and 100% bamboo t-shirts. Not only were they beautiful with hip designs, but they were cool. This was like my own secret decoder ring, eco-friendly style.

Kathyrn was kind enough to send a 100% Bamboo "Peace" t-shirt (pictured below). The world's view is of an artful butterfly. My own super-secret view that I get to see in the mirror is one that instructs, "I am an instrument of Peace in the World." What better choice for a Happy Hippie?

The 100% bamboo t-shirt felt like heaven on skin. Soft, silky, lightweight fabric that is such an easy to wear choice (and a renewable eco-friendly resource, too!) I ran around town doing some errands, and must admit that having an empowering secret did make me feel better. My husband said I was nicer to him that day as well, but he could of been buttering me up. I'm thinking I should order their Love Affirmation shirt to help in that department for Valentine's Day!
