Hey everyone I'm gonna start up a natural dog store, doggie daycare, day hikes, cageless kennels type place and would love some feedback. 1st - where? I'm west coast right now but have no ties. I'm looking for smallish town, hippie, dog lovers (aren't we all). 2nd - what else? how would you like you dogs to be pampered? Mine seem to like a long hike and a cool floor to lay on afterwards but I know there's more. 3rd - good idea? It feels right to us. ThanksMesa, Montana, Kat, Ryan |

It's not a small town but I think people in Minneapolis, Minnesota would be into something like that. It's a very liberal/hippie town especially around "the lakes" and South Minneapolis. There's lots of green space and people are friendly so it does have a lot of the same benefits as a smaller place.Or maybe Iowa City, IA? It's a university town and I think they might accept something like that. Also, Northfield, MN has two colleges and a population of 15,000. It still has a cute downtown area (although the chain stores are coming on strong... the suburbs are coming!) My all-time favorite is Woodstock, Vermont. You could also try Burlington if you think the business would be better there. |

Okay, and my dog is a pushover. She likes space to run, dogs her own size to play with, and peanut butter. Boy, does she like peanut butter....I think if you had your own special gourmet dog treats to send home at the end of each dog's stay that dogs loved, that would seal the deal. |
