I've noticed a drastic decline in the age of posters 'round these parts.

As I am very happy to see such kind and free spirited young people, I'm also 28 years old and... well... 28 - 15 = BIG DIFFERENCE.

Though I think it's endearing and sweet when people say, "age is a state of mind and so on and so forth..." and I even believe that to an extent, I'm just wondering if there are any people who can relate to me in experience who still come to this forum??????????

If not, where did you go... I'll meet you there.

I hear what you're saying. I'm only 22, and I look back at where I was when I was 15 or 16... whoa.

24 here....I've also noticed an influx of younger folk these days. Some of the other boards on this site have older people though. Other than that I know of no other forum quite as kynd as this one. I would like to say in defense of the youngsters (and I know you meant them no ill will), I have spoken to a few off the thread and found them to be engaging and intelligent...a lot more than I was at that age to be sure!

I'm 27 and for the most part never really minded the younger members.

Although lately... I sometimes feel as if I have stepped into some teen magazine.

Hello! Good to see you all.

I actually don't mind the young people here at all. At times the posts make me a little nostalgic, really. They seem like a pretty insightful and mature group of teenagers, more so than when I was 15 or 16 or 17. I really enjoy reading their posts for the most part, and I hope they enjoy reading mine as well.

BUT, I don't feel as though a 15 year old is capable of understanding my 28 year old issues. And, honestly, I am no longer able to understand the issues of someone ten years my junior. Or, maybe I overunderstand the issues, which in turn means that I do not understand the experience at all. In many posts I read, I feel myself reading the responses of these very young people and thinking, "no... I don't think that's what he meant at all." And then I realize that the individual is 16 and has certainly not had the time or freedom to make the kind of connections that I have, and as result sees things very differently. This doesn't make a younger person's perspective any less valuable... just inaccessible to me.

hey guys I'm only 17, but you are right when I'm 28 I will probably look back on when I was 17 and say, "jese I was extremely juvinile". It's good though that we youngsters can read what you more, experienced people have to say, you guys have so much insight on various subjects, it makes me happy to be able to read what you guys write, thats all!

I'm 28. I read more often than I post here and at times, I also have trouble relating directly to what's going on with our younger brothers and sisters... There's a huge difference between 15 and 28. I do enjoy reading and considering the younger posters' thoughts- I'm just less inclined to respond.

Peace,
o

I am 26, although a lot of people think that i look like I am 18! I am not offended by it at all though. It is cool that there is a diversity of ages here on the site
