I have been a vegetarian for 21 years but recently found out that over the last couple of years my wife has feed me meat on about 5 occassions informing me that it was quorn. I haven't spoke to her since I found out 2 days ago. Am I being childish, I am in a state of shock, I am disgusted by what she has done, in fact I think I would feel less dis-respected if I had found out she was having an affair. Am I right to be this angry?

I am very sad for you and your situation.

I have been a strict vegetarian for 5 ½ years now and I raise my children the same. My husband eats meat. He has always respected me in my choice and agrees on raising our children vegetarian. (He does not cook or eat meat in our home out of respect.)

I do think you have the right to be angry, however you choice to marry your wife so I think you need to have a talk with her and explain to her who deeply this hurt you.

Good luck, my thoughts and energy will be with you.

I think that you have every right to be upset. Your decision to not consume animals is a very personal and important one and should not have been disrespected.
I think that you should ask her why she made the decision to feed you the meat in the first place.
I am sure that she is sorry and that you guys can work it out.
For what it is worth...you are not being childish.
