hi i recently turned vegan about a week ago and since ive been breaking out very bad ive always suffered with acne but it was clearing up, but since ive turned vegan it seems to have come back more i use a tea tree oil face wash which i bought at a whole foods markt. it has cleared up my face but recently it seems as if it not workin could me turning vegan be the casue of more acne? please help me

It could be that your body is cleansing itself off the toxins that are built up from what you were eating before your turned vegan. I would suggest waiting it out for a couple of weeks, keep using the tea tree oil, and if it doesn't start to improve, then possibly consider changing your diet again. But I think that it will get better not worse. Surf the web a little bit and you will find that many detox diets contain the same foods most vegans consume and it always gets worse before it gets better. Your body needs to get rid of those toxins. I say hang in there. Peace = )

hey there! if you still break out every now and then (like me), try this stuff called "Nature's Cure" I buy mine from this co-op by my house. It's actually these little chewable tablets that are all natural, and vegan friendly. you take one in the am and one at pm. it has helped me out a lot, (oh, but still use tea tree) i could go into detail about what the herbs do and the benifits, but it would probably bore you. have fun!
