you might want to try visiting www.curezone.com they have lots of information on fasting techniques and recipes, too. |

weeping willow,I used to have a book with that recipe. I've since lost it, but maybe you can find it... It's called "The Master Cleanser", I can't remember who wrote it, but I tried this fast about 8 years ago.It wasn't easy, but after the second day I felt great. You should definitely check with your doctor or whom-ever before you fast though. If you don't fast in a good way, you'll be setting yourself up for sickness. good luck, k. |

The fast that u're talking about is called "The Master Cleanser". The book is written by Stanley Burroughs. This diet involves drinking a mixture of 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp maple syrup grade B and 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper approx 6 times a day or over. It also involves taking a herbal laxative tea before going to bed and on waking up u're supposed to take a salt water flush using 2tsp uniodized sea salt in 32oz water. The diet is brilliant, although the first couple of days are tough, stick with it and u see gr8 results. |

About to start "The Master Cleanser" diet plan. I'm looking forward to the results (not to mention feel better!) The book was written by Stanley Burroughs... sells for about $4.50. Worth it! |

Hi!! I am excited about the "Master Cleanse" involving lemon juice, cayanne pepper, and maple syrup. I heard you can use honey too. What I am wondering is.... how long are you supposed to go on it? I know personal preference as to how short of a time, BUT what is the recommended longest time one may survive healthily on this cleanse? |

40 days is the longest the book recommends doing the fast. I found 10 to 20 is sufficient. |

I am a regular user of the master cleanser. DO NOT USE HONEY!!!!! It is a completely different kind of sugar from the Grade B Maple Syrup, and does not provide you with the necessary minerals to complete the cleanse safely. You can however use freshly squeezed sugar cane juice if it is available. You use the sugar cane juice as a replacement to the syrup and water combined, so just get the right qty and add your lemon juice and cayenne. Happy Cleansing! |
