If you live in Santa Cruz, California, you already know about the Saturn Cafe, becuase it is one of The Greatest Vegetarian joints on the face of this planet. However, if you don't live there, I suggest that if you ever make it through, go eat there, you won't regret it! |

Mmmm! I've never been to Santa Cruz, but I'll remember if I'm ever there. Likewise, if you're from the Chiicago area you know about the Blind Faith Cafe in Evanston, IL. I don't live there anymore, but every time I go back to visit, I have to eat at Blind Faith at least 3 or 4 times. It's so awesome to be able to eat EVERYTHING on the menu! |

never been to california, but in chicago the chicago diner is a great pick...if you make it to evanston, chicago, stop by the blind faith cafe...awesome vegetarian (though vegan friendly) restaurant with AMAZING vegan deserts.also, if you're ever in the DC area and have time to stop by northern virginia...in vienna, virginia, stop by Sunflower (all vegetarian, mostly vegan), and try general tso's surprise (even my meat eating friends love it!). also, in DC there's a great vegan bakery called sticky fingers that sells everything from personalized birthday cakes, to cookies, muffins, brownies...you name it. |

Also in DC, there is a recently opened all vegetarian Indian place called Nirvana located downtown on K Street. Thumbs up for Sunflower (been there once) and Sticky Fingers, too. | |
