Does anybody here know anybody famous, or kind of famous (aka somebody who's been on TV)?
My friend's mom is Pat LaMarche, the vice presidential candidate for the Green Party in 2004.
Also, I'm (kind of) friends with Ethan Strimling, elected by the Daily Show to be the most handsome senator in Maine.
Also, at a Rich Charette concert, my dad put on an alligator costume to dance to the big hit "There's an Alligator in the Elevator."
I guess you could say I'm in with the rich and the famous.

Personally I could care less about the rich and famous, I feel sorry for them actually, always being hounded cant have a single private moment lots of money but no real life, sounds shitty to me, well actor types anyway.
I have met a few musicians but they were pretty down to earth, just regular people, making a living.

I've never met someone "rolling in dough" because of thier acting or singin abilities. But I have met afew Star Trek actors (i know thier names, i'll just post thier character): Worf, Loxana Troi, Sulu, Chief O'Brian, Picard, and Scotty (I drank with him). Yeah I met them at conventions, but I was working security and actually got to talk a while with them.
I was at family party, and I sat down to the heavy set white beared man. We started talking about this and that, and I got up to get us a drink. My aunt turned to me and said "do you know who you'vebeen talking to!?" I said "No" She then told me "Uncle Jessie"... I was like "Oh ok". It then hit me... UNCLE JESSIE.... Denver Pyle! From "the Dukes of Hazard"
I also met many musicians: The Golden Dawn (TX psych band), Butthole surfers, Stara Zagora (went to college with them), and many many others to list. If anyone is from the Dallas area, I've also met Mr. Peppermint....Gibby Haynes (from BH surfers) father.

Well, I don't *know* any famous people, but I've met a couple. I met Ani Difranco once and I hung out with Matthew Sweet on his tour bus. I doubt either one of them remember me.
Famous people are my guilty pleasure. For whatever embarrassing reason, I find them utterly fascinating.

Sadly unkle Jessie passed on a few years ago.
Scotty isn't doing to hot himself from what i hear. Shame, he's one of the nicest actors ive met.

I've had the oppurtunity to smoke herb with some famous jazz musicians here and there. Usually stemming from giving them rides back to their hotel and other host-ish activities. I'll decline to mention names, even though some are obscure to jazz laymen.

Well, since you seem interested, here is the short version of how it happened:
My sister and I were in London about 6 years ago, and all of a sudden we saw this amazing painted bus with an Oregon flag flying off the back. We went running down the street after it (I'm from Oregon, so I was mighty curious why I was seeing an Oregon flag in London). We caught up and they pulled over. All these people from Oregon (including my hometown of Ashland) got off the bus. Talk about a weird coincidence. It turned out that they were filming a special on the Merry Pranksters, and they were traveling all over England in this bus. So the next thing I know, Ken Kesey gets out of the bus (drinking red wine out of a water bottle) and comes on over. I got my picture with him and everything. We spent like 2 hours hanging out with all the people and being filmed for the special. It was a very strange but cool experience. I will try and post a couple pictures tomorrow or Friday.
