This is so cool!

You might know that I'm working on a renovation. My floor is gutted down to the dirt. I was digging and I found this:

It's a bead, a little, it looks hand made, it was made from clay it looks like. It's not perfectly round. NO hole in it.

It's so cool. It's going to be my new...inspiration pocket thingy. The thing you keep in your pocket and when you are stressed you rub it and your stress goes away.

I wonder what the history behind this bead is? This is almost as good as the time capsule I'm going to put in there!

I did a little Googling and I found out that it's not a bead, it's a marble. Probably made in Germany. In the late 1800s somewhere. They used them in ballasts in ships coming to America; then when they got here they were sold as childrens toys.

very cool, I love that stuff. Its so interesting, I have found all kinds of things as a kid we go to the crick and find lots of rocks that were once tools and I have about 100 arrow heads.
