Many people associate hippies with not shaving + long hair + I was curious what proportion of guys + gals fit this, guys with beards or not + gals with hairy legs/pits?
For myself I've short hair +beard + find women who don't shave sexier than smoothies. Where do you like or dislike hair on partner (state sex!)?

Being a "Hippie", isnt a grooming standard, really, in the day Hippies wanted to look (and be) different. Set ourselves apart, widen the gap. Today I thing that if you carry lots of love in your heart, for fellow man, for our planet and all living things. If you hate greed, commercialism and opression. LOVE FREEDOM!!! You just might be a Hippie. BTW I dig hairy women. ;) :)

Dude. The women still need to shave. And bathe. Please smell good too.

Bathe, yes- hairy doesn't mean smelly, afterall most guys don't shave legs/pits(apart from some cyclists, athletes +TVs) + mostly there's no great pong! I just think clean, natural + hairy is the way I love a woman to be.

I'm a dude with long hair, usually something of a beard, and moderately hairy chest and stuff. I don't have a problem with furry females, but imo shaved just feels nice all the way around and I don't see anything wrong with it other than it being a hassle... In any case, clean is a must for all parties!

I'm a smoothie. My husband, however, gets pretty fuzzy about twice a year, and I loooooove that. Of course, I'd love it if he were bald too.
For me, the idea of not shaving is really lovely. It seems so simple and easy. Theoretically, I'd like to be a fuzzy girl. But, when I don't shave my legs, I feel uncomfortable. And when I don't shave my armpits I feel gooey or something. It's just not a comfortable feel for me.

I go both ways. When I see my boyfriend, I shave. When we are apart for awhile, I don't shave for weeks at a time (I don't have anyone else to impress!) My boyfriend likes to grow his beard out for the winter to keep warm, and when it gets hot out he shaves. He actually likes it when he comes home unexpectedly, and I'm not shaved. I agree with toman that it is nice to be shaved, but it is a hassle to keep up on it. :D

Having long hair myself, I find women with longer hair than my own to be quite attractive :)
As far as the hairy legs and pits? Well, I grew up in Europe, so that doesn't bother me so much.
And a slightly hairy patch wherethesundon'tshine, well kept and trimmed, is preferable, to me, to completely-shaved. http://www.rumandcoke.net/merlin/emote/blush.gif

I don't mind, either way, either sex. I don't shave....often. My man doesn't like this, of course. But, hey, I like natural. And I smell quite tasty, if I do say so myself! :D

I'm a fuzy girl, but it's more of a laziness issue than a being different one. Let's admit it...it takes you twenty minutes in the shower anyway, why waste more time than you need to? If I was a guy, I wouldn't shave either for the same reasons. Honestly, who cares? I feel a little sorry for the women who think that they need to shave to fit in, or for instance, the woman earlier who said she felt uncomfortable. It's just hair people. I say, try everything. Be yourself. If you happen to be a little, not even lazy, but just find it not worth the time, dont' do it. The people who love you will love you no matter what and the people who would only accept you based on looks dont' deserve to be close to you in the first place.

But for me, it has nothing to do with appearance. I feel more physically comfortable shaved/waxed. I tried to grow my leg hair out once and once it got really long, my jeans and socks and stuff (I live in a cold climate) would rub against it and it actually irritated my skin. So much that I would get rashes.
And, yes, I brazilian wax, too. Again, it's for ME. It makes sex much nicer...there's much more sensitivity down there without all that fur!
:D
Ouch?
Well, I am sorta lazy and I also like to be au naturale. It is wasted time to me, now, if it was permanent somehow, I might be ok with hairless legs. But, I tend to be a pretty lo-maintenance girl. Braid my hair, throw on some jeans, a t and go. OK, I am just rambling, sorry.

See, doing it for physical comfort is something entirely different from not believing that it's 'wrong'. But, not always being the brightest crayon I don't always pick up on the between the lines stuff :)
Happy New Year!!!

yeah i used to shave every day but i've really relaxed in the past months and now i don't really. Unless i feel like it-becuase it does feel cool, it just takes a long time... but i haven't shaved above my knee for a couple months heehee it's kind of nice :D I've always shaved my armpits though because it just is uncomfortable the other way
I totally dig guys with long hair!! woo it's such a turn-on for me it's kind of sad haha . i don't really care if they're hairy or whatever. i think it's a lot weirder to shave than not to

I like guys with shoulder length hair who DON'T shave EVER! I shave probably about once a week but I like to keep the pits bald just cause it's easier to wear deodorant (I don't like to smell) I myslef have long hair and will have it that way even if I'm all grey!

Felt like reviving an old thread. I am less hairy than a normal guy, which sometimes frustrates me because I get hit by jokes about me being a wee little boy by the ladies I know.
I don't mind hair on the ladies, it's completely natural.
Also heard and seen enough stories about females and itchyness and rashes due to shaving a lot, not so pretty.
Clean, I don't want a girl who's afraid of bathing. That's pretty much it.

With the long winter now in , any of the women here decided hair removal during winter was pointless + let their leg/ pit hair grow out? Do some of you have hairy/ smooth season + have bush whacking shave as warm sun returns? Perhaps you prefer to keep your legs/ pits furry?

I actually have more of a problem with leg hair in the WINTER...go figure. My skin is really, really sensitive, and in the winter, the leg hairs rub on the socks (long socks in winter, short ones in summer)..and I get nasty burny itchy rashes!
I shave legs and pits maybe once or twice a week.

I had a roommate that had to shave EVERYDAY... and I realized that, not only does the tub get really freaking nasty, its also expensive to shave so much! I mean, you have to get razors and shaving cream and what not....
My boyfriend has a big red beard (and dirty blonde hair- go figure!) I LOVE IT!! He is also pretty hairy all over (except the back :o haha!) and I love it all! I find natural men to be the most attractive of all! Kudos to hairy men... and the ladies too! Hair is Hair and thats all there is to it. EVERYBODY has it, so why pretend you don't?
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
:kngt: <--- is that not the funniest thing??

I shave pits and legs, but the legs only get shaved in warm weather. In the winter they keep me warm.
My husband is very furry. His hair is just past his shoulders and he keeps a goatee. He used to have just a beard and moustache but the beard was mostly grayish white and he looked like popeye's grandfather, lol.
I shaved my legs today because it's been getting warm. Now the cool weather is coming back and I'm going to freeze!
Peace,
Cassandra

(snork)...anybody else get a giggle out of this?
In reference to shaving every day...I've found that a cheap conditioner (the kind for dry hair) works just as well as shaving cream and is way cheaper. Suave is like a dollar a bottle and somebody shaving every day..might take a month to use the bottle up. It doesn't take much.
