Suzie

Suzie has a shoe
she wished that it was blue
on a yellow bus
she screams and starts to fuss
she grabs her beer bottle
and begins to cuss
and when she gets ahold of you
prepare to bail and bust.

But Suzie’s car was blue
she wished that it was new
she found it by a garbage can
a block from “Daytime Zoo”
and when she has a gas
finds herself in a mass
then she tries to run you over
but realizes you’re too fast.

Suzie’s ex was different
his name was Johnny Lou
they used to like each other
but now their fucking’s through.

He talks a lot of crap
he said that he could rock
she heard him practice off set
sounded like a prep ass jock.

Suzie went to jail
she stabbed him with a nail
he laughed right in her face
then she punched him in his grace
some inmates thought she’s hot
then they thought she rot
so when she gets ahold of you
you must run to the pot.

I like this a lot, but i think you are misusing (non-creatively) "was" and "were," which distracted me from the rest of the poem. If you cleaned that up it would help.
