I live in Asheville, NC and in need of a small portion of land. Nothing big. Enough to build a small cabin and a small garden. Something with lots of trees. Please help!! Everything I've found is totally out of my price range.
Thanks,

Land is not cheap anywhere. Even here, in Arkansas, in my area an acre of unimproved land (no water or electricity or sewer) goes for 8 to 10 thousand dollars.

You could try an owner financed deal. Low down payment, small monthly payments that go on forever. Just watch out for restrictions. That can make it too costly to biuld a place.

Good luck

check out some of the deals in Show Low AZ. you can get something for under 100K. it's at about 6000 feet ele.

AZ has less strict rules than many other states, like much lower property tax, no state income tax and less rules on what you can do with your property.

I can't help with land but I hope you find something. Asheville is so beautiful. One of the best spots i'd try is Weaverville smaller town about three to five miles away. Also you should try realtor.com its pretty good.

Thanks for the info on the property in Fairview. It actually is about 5 minutes from where I live now. It's beautiful out there. I am hopefully going to build some sort of cabin/eco-house. If anyone knows how to get ahold of solar panels that would be great. :hippie: free in Nc

:)I have 54 acres in east tn. My husband and I and 152 animals call home. :bud:The land is pretty steep in most spots but also very beautiful. We would not mind at all if you would like to pick out an acre or so to build a cabin and work the land.We are simple folks and know that we are blessed with much and would like to share.

I can't help, but you are living where I so desperately want to be. I just love Asheville.
