How old were you when you first started?

Hello fellow Hippies, I am fifteen years old and have recently found a liking for the sticky smelly tastey yummy sacred magic happy hippie weed. I love the stuff.
Anyway...
I would like to ask everyone here, how old were you when you first started, and how long have you been doing it?

Started when i was 12, im 15 now. so 3 years :p

Once you get to be an "elder" smoker, you find this means less and less... I'm coming up on my 8 years, soon. I think. Heh. My time sense is seriously screwed. But I've done LOTS of drugs, so, heh.

I started at 10 1/2 now i am 16 so like 5 years so yea man its cool to smoke n' toke.

when I was 12 I had my first hit, I think I was 12, so it has been about 5 years for me. I just dont understand why so many people are against pot, but they can go get hammerd in a bar, then drive home smashed. It's legal to drink but not smoke alittle weed. I really love weed though!

Damn, you guys are making me feel old! I first puffed when i was probably twelve, and I'm twenty two now. So my genious internal calculator tells me that's ten years. I've been off and on for years at a time though, like now I've been away from it for over a year, and before that it was every day...

Holly moose! I first smoked up when I was about 12 so its about 10 years since I first smoked... I only smoke veryrarely now.

I'm kinda a newbie... I started when I was 16 and I just turned 17, so only about 4 months or maybe less I think. I'm not too good with time either, as someone mentioned, but it has nothing to do with the drugs since weed is all I've done and my memory was fucked before that :p

I'm 36 years old now. Had my first hit when I was 18. (okay, so I was a late bloomer!)

Took a long break from it due to being in an apprenticeship and very subject to drug testing.

Back to it now! Yay!

I'm starting to also feel like one of the "elders" here...... :eek:

Lets see.. I was 14 when I first smoked pot, I am now 31. Have been a pretty consistant smoker since the beginning.. :)

Oh gosh, I feel old too! I started when I was 18, and I am 26! I was a late bloomer as well. I was scared of it at first (I lived a very sheltered life at that time). I am glad I was older when I started b/c I learned to appreciate it and use it moderately. I still do it sporadically from time to time. It calms me down. :)

12, plain and simple, im 18 now so bout 6 years....bout as long as ive been skating...weird....peace frog... i bet you have some exellent stories seeing as how you lived through most of the 70s and the 80s... amazing!

I Started Smoking At 12, Weird That So Many Of Us Started Around Then, Crazy!! I Am 25 Now And Its No Big Deal Anymore Like It Was In Highschool, Now Its Just Life, Many Joints And Drugs Later Its Still Life!! No Regrets!! :d

I'm a firm believer in the abstract-thought relationship and cannabis' mind-expanding properties... 12 is very interesting and by then most people have likely developed or at least started development of abstract thought, and so... they can truly appreciate the herb :).

I've met a few people that smoked before age 10... And for them, the experiences at that time was totally different... Lends some credit to it, in my opinion :)

Ive never thought it was 'bad' or 'wrong' Ive just never had the desire to try it until recently. Ive always been open minded about these things, but im glad I waited until I was more mature.
