I had a dream a few nights ago in which one of my teeth was falling out. What could this mean?

Hey there, I don't know what your dream means but I have had similar dreams many times only all my teeth are falling out, literally crumbling up and falling out of my mouth. I clench my teeth while sleeping and what a freaky feeling to wake up from that dream and have that awful feeling in my mouth from clenching and the memory of the dream at the same time. It's like I'm breaking my own teeth up in my sleep. Do you happen to grind or clench your teeth in your sleep? Maybe it has something to do with that. Oh, by the way, I'm new here. I'm just a hippie wannabe. Got a lot of learning to do. An old hippiewannabe.

I've had similar dreams. I don't know how much validity you'll find in this, but when I was experiencing said dreams, I read in a dictionary that catalogs dream symbols that rotten teeth, teeth crumbling and teeth falling out means that you've been telling lies and you fear your lie will cause pain to another person.

tsk... tsk... tsk...

i read somewhere that losing teeth is a sign of being anxious. was that all you remember about your dream?

Thats all I remember of that dream. I know that it is very common to dream of loosing teeth though. I think that we have personal symbols that show up in dreams, that only have meaning to us. Like a tooth falling out could be symbolic of something totally different for me than somebody else.

lets see...
Teeth for me are associated with speaking, so me loosing a tooth could mean that I felt no one was listening to me at that time, but that lying thing may be right too.

heyy that's good evil hippie. that's actually how people are supposed to interpret their dreams :p :D by doing the-what's my personal reaction to the symbol...usually it's easier to take the lazier way out so that's what dream dictionarys are for!
peace!

I've had these dreams, too. I was thinking the other day how much I tell white lies to avoid trouble, such as not answering a cell phone when someone calls who is unwanted at the current hosts house, and saying you didn't have the phone, because you know that it would be one of those awkward "ask if it's cool that I come over" type situations. It hurt me to think that while I fret over how much I think my current objects of admiration of the opposite sex have told me similiar white lies, I still do the same. Maybe these dreams do mean you're lying. Maybe they mean you're anxious. I've felt both issues when having these dreams, being a college student.

Losing one tooth usually means that you are about to receive some unpleasant or disagreeable news. Let me know if anything like that happens.

I've never dreamed about losing teeth but I clench mine in my sleep- wake up sometimes grinding them. Yuck, I hate it! :( It usually happens after a day of using my arms and shoulder muscles a lot, like raking or digging. Or when I've spent two days in the kitchen cooking ahead for something. Lots of chopping, peeling, and much much dishwashing.

Sometimes it happens if I've been singing too loud for too long.

My heating pad helps if I use it before I go to sleep. Oh god, now I sound old, next I'll be using a cane, lol.

Peace,

I have found that eating lots of carrots right before bed helps with the clenching problem...seems my jaw is looking for a workout or something..and it gets it by eating the carrots that way.

i have had a few dreams about my teeth falling out and i HATE em!!! mostly because EVERYtime i have had a dream where my teeth start crumblig and falling out excessivly i find out a couple days later that someone i knew from the past had died. and once i had one that I was very emotional in my dream about loosing my teeth, my granfather (whom i loved very very much) died a couple days later. the other times it was old friends that i had went to school with. ALWAYS i found out 2 days after the dream too. gives me the heebijeebies!!!! i hope thets not what those dreams mean for you. i think every dream means somthing different for everyone and if you pay attention to them you will understand. its kinda like just taking time to understad yourself.
