This is probably the worst company I have ever done business with, in terms of customer service and interaction. I originally got a Visa card from them when I enrolled in college some years ago, and I've kept it and used it over the years. Every single time I've had to deal with them over any kind of issue, it's a major hassle. The people are rude, they can't speak english, they don't want to help, and they're interested not in serving me, the customer, but themselves and the company. The biggest problem though is that these people lie without shame. On multiple occasions I've been mislead, screwed over, and flat out fucked by these people. If you do business with them, they will lie to you, charge you money for services you don't request, refuse to cancel those services, continue to charge you money even after repeated complaints, and ultimately take an attitude and hang up on you after talking with a supervisor for half an hour. Take my advice; if you need a line of credit and want to do business with a company that cares about it's customers, go with Discover. I've had an account with them for about fifteen years now, and it has always been a pleasure. No hassles, no lies, easy service, no questions asked, the customer is always right with them.

I used to have Capitol One toman, and I cancelled it b/c they suck. Have you ever seen their commercials with David Spade-- I have to refrain myself from throwing my TV out the balcony.

OH MY GOSH!!! I totally agree. I hate capitol one. I had their credit card and it sucked. my bill was always late and then they charge you so much for late payment and then your interest rates go up!

now that is interesting, my uncle had discover forever and he got charged for things he never wanted, had problems with them crediting his account, and then the rudeness. whereas my husband and i have had capitalOne for the last couple of years and have never had a problem with them. they are always nice, and they do speak english. we've had to change the address and phone number about 4 times over the phone, still no problem. (we have separate accounts) i'm sorry you have had problems with them, we must be lucky.

That is strange. I suppose all those credit card companies have the potential to give you problems, and it's just going to be a case by case thing to see what you end up with. Same thing with cell phone carriers... those guys suck!

I also have a Capital One Visa, & I've never had problems dealing with them... I call customer service ANY time I have an issue with my bill (which I do pretty often for whatever reason) and they always fix it for me, UNLIKE a lot of other credit card companies who give me shit when I challenge some nasty charge they laid on me.

Just about I think; I got the card for free and no anual charge when I enrolled as a freshman in college with virtually no credit.
