Has anyone here ever gone to Zion National Park in Utah? I am going on vacation there, and am looking for some advice when I get there. We are interested in taking the shuttle system that takes you around the canyon, but i haven't found any info worthwhile. Other than that, I have the whole trip planned out for the most part. We are going to be in Vegas for 3 days, and Zion for 3. Thank you for any inputs :)

I haven't been, but tt sounds cool. Be sure to report; I might be going to school in Utah soon and If I do I'd like to check that out. :bandit:

I have been, it is absolutely gorgeous there. I do not remember where i went in the park tho. But, i do remember that there is a college town close by, if you go soon you will be there in time for the college's Shakespear Festival. They even have a recreation of the main theater that Shakespear used, check it out it is really cool.

I have been there and I loved it! It is one of my favorite parks in the US. I was there in the early spring before the school kids were out of school. It was nice and peaceful and not crowded at all. The shuttle system is great. There is basically one road that goes through the whole place. You can only take your car so far then you have to take the shuttle. It is really easy to use. They come by quite often.

Have fun! Make sure to take the Angel's Landing hike :)

I am leaving tomorrow for my little trip, so i hope everyone has a safe and happy labor day weekend. I will let you all know how Zion is like. Plainjane- my friend has a minor heart condition, so I dont think that we are taking the Angel's Landing hike. In my guidebook it said it was quite strenuous. But we are taking the family friendly hikes around there :)

make sure you check out little dead horse if you can. it's next to zion, bryce, and arches.

I am back from vacation- Utah was beautiful! I have never been west, so I was amazed at everything. We didn't do Angels Landing (my friend is not one for hiking :() but we did do a few trails that were easy. Vegas was awesome too. It was a great place to people watch, and I can't believe how big some of the hotels are! Now we are planning a trip to somewhere exotic. I have been to Aruba before, but I would like to go somewhere in that general area i.e. Jamaica, Cancun, St. Thomas. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know! Peace~Carly
