As soon as I'm done updating you all, I'm going to try to catch up on all the posts I've been missing since this forum was reinstituted. I'm sorry to be so "me, me, me" but I haven't had internet service for the summer and am currently taking advantage of the free wireless internet in my hospital room.
I am also holding my new daughter Lila. She's so sweet. Jay's out grabbing us a movie to watch a little bit later while I soak in a little bit of alone time with my precious baby girl.
She was born on August 25th at 8:56 AM by cesarean section. I did everything possible to avoid the surgery, otherwise I might have felt defeated by it. Other than being a little bit nervous and panicky about it, recovery has been much easier this time. I'll be here until Monday, and by then I hope to be feeling much like my formerly perky non-pregnant self. Lila was 7 pounds 6 oz and 19 inches long, which was much smaller than anticipated by my ultrasound technician. She scored a perfect score on her APGAR test and latched on immediated. She hasn't had one bottle yet, nor will she. I haven't slept much, but given her lovely demeanor I'm happy to sacrifice my sanity, sleep and waistline for the opportunity to be her mommy.
She has sooooooooooooooo much hair.
Okay, Jay's back. I'm going to check out the movie's and diapers he brought back.
Love,
Anna
