So I have this six foot tall plant in my house, but I have no idea what it is. I'd like to find out so I can figure out what to feed it, since it's looking a bit on the ill side... thanks!

Can you maybe take a picture from a distance so we can see the whole structure of the plant? It'd be helpful.

It's definitely some sort of palm...
Maybe you can find your tree here - www.junglemusic.net/palms/ (http://)

Palms need sun light. Is it getting enough?
I would also look for some plant vitamins to give it.
Or like Chong said... "Piss on it".
I own a few palms and they pretty much need water and sunlight daily.
Also when they get ready to sprout, the leaves will start to wilt and dry up.

It sort of looks like a yucca plant I had a few years back...

That might explain it. It hasn't been getting a lot of sun since I moved it inside, since my apartment faces the north. Also, it's been growing a lot the last couple of weeks so maybe thats why the leaves look kind of brown and wilty at the tips. I'd still like to know just what to feed it and what the soil Ph should be, so I'll have to keep looking around and figure it out...

It's definitely a palm, but don't ask me what kind, I've no idea. I'd recommend putting it in full sun in the warmest spot in your house and not watering it every day, maybe twice a week. :)

aye; will do. I've been watering probably three times a week, but a lot at a time since it's in a huge ass pot. I've also been misting the foliage with a spray bottle... seems to be working allright, because the thing is growing like mad!

Prepare for it to grow more, it looks very much like the plant outside one of my old girlfriends house that was almost as tall as her house.

Yeah, the thing has grown probably five inches just in the past few weeks. I wonder if there's any way I can train it to grow more sideways or something, before it hits the ceiling... Otherwise it's going back outside because my ceilings are only like nine feet... :D

I know that is you place it by a light source (window or what-not) it will grow in that direction. I like my plants as straight as they will grow so I rotate the pot every 3-4 days.

Maybe if I were to put it in a dark room and mount a grow light underneath it, i could get it to grow around in a spiral. Tha'd be trippy....
