As a spin-off from my other thread: It seems like the vast majority of people, regardless of politcal stance, moral beliefs, or anything else is pro-troop. I'm clear on why the majority feel this way, but from what I see even the serious anti-war people are still pro-troop. Maybe I'm not seeing the other side because I'm not all that active in protesting and the like, but it seems odd to me that there would be none. During the Vietnam war there were plenty of people who had a problem with what the troops were doing, in addition to the politics and government antics. In that scenario, a large percentage of the soldiers were being drafted and didn't actually have much say in what they did or didn't do. In the situation we're in now, 100% of the forces overseas are vounteers, choosing to earn money from the government in exchange for spreading death, violence, destruction, terror, and the word of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Am I the only person out there who sees a problem with this? Every person I talk to says my views are extreme, anti-social, mean, unamerican, you name it. I haven't shared my views with one person who has agreed with me, and yet none of them has been able to explain the situation in a way that makes me even question my original thoughts. So, seeing as my original thread is serving as a discussion for the topic as a whole, I'd like this thread to be for anyone who agrees with my thoughts, either in part or in whole. Old members, young members, strangers off the web, I want to hear what you have to say. But if it's pro-troop, pro-death propaganda or defensive whiney poo, post it in the other thread! Thanks! :D

Im sorry I am posting this here because I am pro-troop but many soldiers are not christian. Its a very diverse group of people Christians yes but also jews pagans hindu and yes even muslim. SO the spreading the word of jesus christ doesnt quite hold up.
