I just wanted to tell everyone to think twice about what you say to people, because you can't take back hurtful words once they've been said.

I'm so tired and so sad of how people judge me by how I look. It still surprises me how people you think you know can change sometimes...and it really hurts.

Why can't people just accept each other for the goodness inside?

I just had to post this and get it off of my chest. :(

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words may never hurt me"
If only it were so easy... Unfortunately, words carry a lot of weight, and ESPECIALLY from those we care most about (and spending time with people you care about eventually leads to stressful situations in which someone says something they didn't really mean...)

Ach. Words. Luckilly, a picture says a thousand words, I've got a picture for the haters: http://www.rumandcoke.net/merlin/emote/fucku.gif

... ok ok, so it was only two words, but you know it felt great :D.

Yes, sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can hurt your mind. And that can cause physical problems.

There are also lots of misunderstandings. I really believe many problems come from that.

There is fear, too. People hate things they don't understand. It scares them.

In forums it's so easy to get your feelings hurt or misunderstand someone. No wonder so many people post a few times, get an ugly or misunderstood reply, then leave the forum and feel very hurt.

But there are some people who just love to hurt others. They are not happy unless they're starting some kind of s#!t. It's the only way they can make thier brains release dopamines. They are not happy and don't want anyone else to be, yet they want to be the center of attention.

Down with mean people!!!

Eat Habanero sauce and release the dopamines :)

Peace,
Pedata- who is quite smoked up right now :):)

I don't agree. I think in this society we really have become way too sensitive. I post on several different forums, and people somewhat frequently seem to take offense at my posts. I'm a very black and white kind of person; if I know something or have an informed opinion about something, I'm going to tell you. I never do it to hurt anyone, I just feel it's the right thing to do. Apparently this is a bit harsh for some people, but really I don't feel it's my problem. If my words upset or offend you, I don't feel it's my fault since that is almost never my intent. The only words that 'hurt' me are ignorant ones. Attack me, insult me, whatever you want, I really couldn't care less. Just don't spout ignorant, predjudiced, or otherwise just plain stupid crap, because that just pisses me off. :D

anyway dont let words hurt so much they fly out of peoples mouths so much aNd so fast its hard to believe they can mean it.

Thanks everyone! Your posts did cheer me up!

I normally don't give a rat's ass what people say to me or about me, but when it's someone I know really well and I know they say it to try to hurt my feelings, it works. And this is what's so upsetting. Not what they say, but WHY they say it...to hurt.

Your words put it all into perspective for me! :)
