Ladywithafan-inspirational, have long thought that a community garden would be a very benifical type of thing, Any advice on ways to proceed would be appreciated. Grov't, land, taxes, work shares, selling extra, need lots of advice

What would you like to know? I am not sure on the legal aspects of it. But for a couple of summers I did buy a lot of land from the local community center so I could grow my veggies. It was like 30/year and I forget on how big the land was- it was perfect for me and a couple of friends though. If you have any suggestions i.e. where I can look to find a community garden, would be great :)

Visions - so much fun to have!!

Have long thought that each community needed a clearing-house(?) of skills, that could match up against the needs found in the area. So, public owned ground, farmed by 'labor investors', financed by 'capital investors', producing garden yield. This harvest could be divided according to the 'investment'. With some good ground, water, some 'key time' equipment aid, I thought maybe next year could try. Inspired by someone, I went in to talk to a friend in local city gov't.

Reality - not much fun to have!!!

Short story- insurance problems, ended up being sent to the office that sells permits, didn't go, will not start a buisness.
