misty morning dew come rise up from my brow
i feel the dawn coming on strong
the sun is rising now
only the light it knows the time thats passed
the roads ive crossed
and chances tossed
that misty morning dew has washed my mind so clean
washed away the evening dusk the night was quite obscene
we tumbled through the brushes and landed in the everglade
the hours filled with music, our bodies in serenade
misty morning dew shed light upon this detailed land
it seems so clear now to see my world cradled in its hand
oh that miisty morning
oh that misty dew
the sweet sweet water touched my lips
and thats just when i knew
all this morning dew will come and wash away the night
spread sugar upon the land, for all that touches light
dew you wash me clense me clean
dust from falling stars
dew you wash me cool me down
release me from by bars
rise my body from this bed and streach it far and wide
all the light surrounding me is coming from inside
the dew it seemes came from my eyes that night i laid on down
the sun had come as it always does and glistened my golden crown
theres always days, theres always dawn but not always sweet morning dew
so wash your mind and body clean for this day brings somthing new.
im feeling i will make this into a bluegrass song, but i play drums so it may not work for the bands i play in. guess ill have to pick up the guitar again. i wrote this last january 27th. let me know what you think! :)
