ok, i decieded to throw one more of my faves in here while i have some time at the good ol library!

moonlight by sunset

chasing the velvet sunset
im taking my story out west
i take roam thru out the rugged land
to the place my feet can feel the sand
through valleys that are low wide and deep
mountians that are high jagged and steep
rivers rush me around bens as the current rides me fast
then abruptly the river ends and thru the air my bodys cast
falling, falling closer to the ever changing tides
i hit the water, ripples rush out from my sides
ill swim my story twards the shore and climb upon the beach
i know i can bear this closer, i can feel it within my reach
but...over the hill lays a wide open medow
on which a great mountian is casting a shadow
so i take in some air and rise up my chest
and enter the trail twards that mountians crest
it will take me some time to defeat this climb
to reach my high perch may take me some time
but i gotta keep my eyes open and fixed on my goal
& give it my best, reach down in my soul
only in moments ill find myself there at my best
eyes fixed on the ocean i find lying west
out in the distance over the land
on the horizon is that ocean so grand
and from all my work my soul then transformes
upon each side of my body are wings insted of arms
taking more air i stretch out each wing
& take flight with all the great birds that sing
agian the wind glides me around thru the air
but its me in controll now and having no fear
the view is beautiful gliding over the clouds
i look back out east shedding all doubts
glancing out west again i notice the sand
closer i glide to see the waves crashing onto the land
i rest down in the sand and bury my feet
feeling the warmth of the summers sun heat
as the night falls i pull out my book,
read thru my pages by moonlight i look
i think now this story may just be done,
chasing the west horizon, just like the sun. :)
