Why? Thats not right.

I dont want a viewing when I die, no open nothing, I hate going and having the last image of the people I love being a bad one, Id rather picture them alove and smiling!! Cremation for me, and a tree planted with my ashes!
Some day a lllooooonnnnnggggg time from now ;)

:shrugs: I don't see the big deal, a dead body is a dead body. It's just a chunk of meat. When I die I hope someone will just dump me into the ocean for the sharks... :D And if someone wants to take my photo, that's fine with me!

Hmm, it just seems sort of morbid to me. No thank you.

Haha, I saw that article, too...
I mean, that's disgusting, why would anyone do that? Errr.
Yeah, it's kinda weird, a wee bit disturbing... but that's what the world is coming to, now. Though, I agree with what was said before, I'd rather just be thrown into the woods for the bears, or into the ocean, or anywhere else that will get me eaten by some large animal. Everything else goes back into the food chain, and they're gonna tell me I don't deserve to? Hah.
Luckily, though, BC offers "Green funerals" where they basically bury you in a woodwn box... no embalming, no casket, just a plain ol' wooden box that probably decomposes faster than your body, and you can spend the rest of your days feeding the worms. I hope my family thinks of me every time they go fishing.

I've seen people take pictures during viewings and I thought it was strange at first, but I think it's a normal thing here in the south.

Maybe it's done because it's the last time they'll ever be able to take a loved one's picture. It might be part of the grieving proccess.
