At my last physical exam, pre-cancerous cells were found on my cervix. Tomorrow, I go for a repeat exam to see if the situation has gotten better or worse. I've been really anxious about this for the past week, so please wish me luck everyone and i'll post an update tomorrow and let everyone know how it went. Thanks.

Good luck, Di. The same thing happened to me about ten years ago. I went back for like eight tests...one would show goofy cells, the next one wouldn't...and it went on and on. I finally just quit going. I sort of made a connection that if I had just (within a couple days) had *ahem* wild sex, the cells would show up goofy on that test. :o

(okay, so I had a brand new boyfriend at the time....)

Probably stupid of me to just quit going for the tests...but it's been ten years and I'm still alive and my cervix hasn't fallen out or anything....

My thoughts are with you, Di. And by the way, don't think I'm holding your package hostage...I really DO have it boxed up and ready to send...it's just that when I remember I don't have it with, and when I DO remember I can't get to a post office and then I forget again.

The same thing happened to me too, and it was just abnormal cells in the end. And I beleive it was from having sex prior to the pap too :p

I was going to catch up to you on myspace but I can't go to the website anymore at work and that was the pretty much to only time I could catch to people and send messages and emails and just catching up. I have a computer at home but it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo darn slow and will not load up pages all the way. So that is why I haven't been on to wish you luck any sooner! My appointment went great, thank God. I get the official results back next week, but the doc said my cervix looks very normal. I do have to have two exams that produce normal results before I can start going back once a year. For now, I have to keep going every three months. Hopefully this one comes out normal, then there's only one to go! Thanks for your concern everyone. Much love :)

Good luck, but everything will probably be fine. I had precancerous cells on my cervix too but they turned out to be nothing. My mom had to have a cone biopsy done on her cervix to remove some cells that were turning cancerous and now her gyno told her that if she hadn't told him she had had a cone biopsy he would have never known, because cervical cells grow back. But it's important to catch it early so they can take care of it like that in case there is anything wrong. I'm sure you'll be fine!
