View Full Version : I play the devils advocate: Deplete Mother Earth

Check this out: While we are all discussing ways to preserve our planet and environment, I think we all pretty much agree that there is way more out there than just us and this planet. What if we were to look at it like this: As the farthest evolved humans, we play survival of the fittest; forget the rest of the world. Take what we need, and do everything we can to advance our species to the very limits of our abilities, instead of conserving what we have and drawing out our misery here on earth, where we may or may not make it at the rate we've been going. Yes, it would mean a temporarily depleted (in the big scheme) planet, but if we keep going the way we are it will be the same outcome and we may very well become extinct in the meantime. If we just make a go of it, we might be able to give mankind the kick in the ass we need to make that evolutionary jump from animal to something more, and in the big picture the end effect on this one planet and a bunch of mere human animal flesh will be the same. Thoughts?

Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen until we get 1 world state... So for now, we have to preserve what resources we have, so that the 1 world state will have enough resources to do what it needs to do and ascend us into the stars and beyond :).

this is interesting...
so lets say we achieve this world state you speak of delta:)
toman,
is your idea to take all of the resources of the earth and use them to explore other worlds?
or,
is it to create a terminator-like person (hippie-like) to explore other worlds for us?
or,
is it to just kill earth with no exploring and no terminator?
just wondering...

Well, one world state, yes. But not wait for it, because if if even happens it's going to be a long time. I'm saying MAKE a small world state, simply by using our power, money and existing forces to simply take whatever we need to create and supply this effort.
The goal being to propel a small number of humans into creating a superior species, which can continue to live off this world even in it's depleted state, and/or venture out into other space or worlds in search of ways to continually improve, in effect making ourselves (collective) God.

REALsun I saw this program on link TV recently(they've shown it several times over the past year) It was a dialog with the Dalai Lama, there were several personalities, activists, politicitians and the like. They talked about world issues. He is acually pretty witty. Thought this might be of interest to you, it's onhttp://www.worldlinktv.org/ if you can get this station where you are. Worth looking into. Link TV rules!!!! :D http://www.worldlinktv.org/images/fs/focus_dalai.gif
