Hello! There were no posts in this forum but I thought I would post anyway because organic gardening can be a tasty subject.
My vegetable gardens, flower gardens, and fruit trees have been chemical free for 8 years now. I make a meager liven taking care of gardens for some pretty well off people and I personally think my backyard flowers and vegetables are sweater because they were all organically grown. Part of my chores today will be raking leaves to go into my garden and I will put some on
top of my bulb plants to protect them during winter.
(the rich folk bought peat moss) Cheers!

Hello! I have composts piles and mulch bins. This year I am going to try putting leaves in black plastic bags and leave them in the sun for a few months.(the leaves are supposed to rot faster in the bags) There is a product called rapid rot that you put on your mulch piles to help them decompose quicker. I never use it because I figure you don’t get as many worms. (the worms don’t seem to like it)

Hello! I know an old time farmer who thinks his tomatoes
were ruined by acid rain. He says his tomatoes were doing fine until it rained - then the next day they looked terrible. He figures that in the near future the only way we will be able to grow tomatoes will be in a hot house or if you protect your garden tomatoes from rain with a clear plastic tarp.
