Why does this forum even exist?

Anyone wonder about this? I mean, it's a "hippie" website sucking bandwidth off of a retail whore site. I mean, come on, the front page is hyping "Hot Topic". WTF is that? Mods, anybody, have any insight as to why someone is paying for us to discuss beer cadging Mexicans (BCMs) and other irrelevant crap? :bandit:

Good question. I know that I've seen sites for shit like auto parts with a forum :confused: Hot topics like "PINE scent VS. NU-CAR". Too racie for me :D Anyhow I don't think any forum is vital to anyones well being..... just fun at times and I'm glad. ;)

I haven't a clue to why this forum is here.... but if you notice 98% of the members are bots. I don't post here because.... well I don't know, but i check everyday. I guess with the downward spiral of this board I've lost interest as much as many of it's past posters.

Sadly enough this site is good for my "well-being". I'm a stay at home mom in a small town. This site is pretty much the only political conversation (which I thrive on) that I get. I don't care why it's here. It's fun. :D

Well I'm sure Toman or Kermit could explain bots better, but a bot is basically a program that looks for message boards to "join" and does nothing but post adverts for viagra or what ever. That is unless the board is set up like this where you sign up, you have to wait for an email with a confirmation code to start posting. And then I believe there might be some time after activating that code b 4 you can post... not sure on that last part. Some (if not all) also look for email addresses to add to it's list of spam recipients.

this forum was created, but it has given me stuff to read during my long days at work.
