does anyone know when this year's rainbow gathering is supposed to start? i went on welcomehome.org but i couldn't find a date or a contact number or anything. i really, really want to go! also.. i don't really know much about it because i've never been, but, are there people that travel around all year? or do they just congregate once a year at a certain spot?

I've never been either but this is what I "gather" (no pun intended, I swear to god it dawned on me at the beginning of the sentence.)
the gathering itself is not a single traveling entity but rather an event. they usually try to keep it on the DL so it won't get fucked with by the man. be careful with any party favors you take.

Im not a trustafarian so I can't go this year :(

...who knows, though. sometimes I get wild hairs.

yeah, i looked on there, but it doesn't have a date for when everyone starts showing up. :( i wish i knew so i could go!

peoplpe are already there setting shit up. I think it starts this weekend. some friends of mine are going, I can ask them later.

im leaving tomorrow morning for the gathering!!! never been!! VERY excited! any of you heads going? I'll see you there! I'm bringing my djembe and televi shakers. it's gonna be the shit.

hey denise, the reason for all the cops is that it's a huge gathering of people in one spot. that makes them nervous about drugs and order. we're not taking anything illegal in. I'm not really that worried about it I just wanna go and help out and have a good time.
