After another bagged lettuce recall announced today, people are wondering if it's safe to eat bagged lettuce anymore.

Ya know that sucks. I for one love salad and I try and buy it loose, but whats the diff? It could still have poo on it, right???? I guess I will stick to growing my own and eating it in the summer only, sucks.

I'm not sure if you can grow lettus in the fall where you live but I live in the northwest and I'm trying it this year. It's growing really well so far (except what the dogs trampled :( ). I have read that it weathers the cold really well so we'll see.

It will in the fall months but not winter. Lettuce does like cooler weather to grow in, cause over the summer it hot and dry here and my spinach was awefull and I read it was the weather. Dont have have time to start any now though :( Wish I did.
