There is a monthly Bluegrass Jam in Pearl Texas. It is generally held on the first Saturday of every month.
Here is the website http://www.pearlbluegrass.com/
I used to live north of there, and went as a kid. It's pretty cool to go see and if you can pick, they invite you to in the parking lot and camp ground.
Admission is free! Bring the whole family and enjoy a great time listening to old-time music in the auditorium. Come hungry and enjoy some home-style food. Musicians will have plenty of opportunities to jam with other folks who love Bluegrass and other old-time music styles.
Since this is a family affair, no alcohol is allowed on the premises. (Drag, I assume grass too) The only other rule is: Only acoustic instruments are allowed, so please don't bring an amplifier. Which is fine by me, I play washboard.
RV sites with 30 amp electricity and water are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
