Yeah, I listen to some reggae, but I'm not really into it all that much. I have a few of Bob's records and some other things, and I listen to all the late night reggae shows on the community radio station we have here. I don't really know a whole lot about religion, aside from basic working knowledge of most beliefs. I was raised in a family where my parents were pretty anti-religion, and the rest the family were basically hipocrites, claiming to not be religious but basing all their morals on christian concepts. I've tried over the last few years to get a little bit more into various religions simply for the sake of being able to discuss various issues and world affairs more intelligently, but it seems pretty tough because it seems like most all the worlds religions, at least in this country, chave become completely corrupt. People distort, mutate and just plain manipulate the religions they supposedly believe in to accomodate whatever they're told to think and do, and whatever it is they want to do and shouldn't by their religious teachings.
So basically, I don't have much truck with religious people. It seems to me like almost all religions and belief systems teach virtually the same concepts, but those main ideals get thrown out the window so people can take issue over the smaller details, many of which can't even be properly defined. My main conclusion thus far has been that I personally don't need books and priests to tell me right from wrong, or how to live my life, or how to treat others. I'm an intelligent, rational (most the time) person, and I'm capable of deciding these things for myself. Not that I'm not willing to listen to and consider other ideas and concepts, but in the end, I think the majority of what I come up with myself is pretty close to what the basis of most religions preach in the first place.

what are your thoughts about god though. do you have one, do u worship the earth- what about that? it seems as though you are hurt by the way your family has raised you with the whole anti- religion thing but they still live like christians?
