Welcome! I saw Skynyrd back in the day (with Ronnie) In fact it's the Oakland concert on the "Freebird the movie" video. My brother burned one with the boys backstage in Virginia. Our claim to fame :o

Cool. Skynyrd is always & forever tops on my list. Pink Floyd is right up there too. Like you, lynyrdskynyrdgirl, there are so many bands that I like. Classic & new ones alike. Any Staind fans here? :)

Yup I got a copy of it.

I am a Pink Floyd nut!
I think I figured out the riddle of the publius enigma: We all need to sit down and talk our problems through instead of fighting about it.

MY favorite band of all time: Tool

Saw that gap again today ,
while you were beggin' me to stay,
take care not to make me enter,
if i do we both may disappear.

I will choke until I swallow...
Choke this infant here before me.
What is this but my reflection?
Who am I to judge and strike you down?

Rest your trigger on my finger,
bang my head upon the fault line.
Better take care not to make me enter.
'cause if I do we both may disappear.

Slipping back into the gap again.
I'm alive when you're touching me,
alive when you're shoving me down.

But i'd trade it all
for just a little
piece of mind.

My hubby just suprised me w tickets to go see them in concert this coming friday!! I am so excited and I love my hubby anyways, but love him even more for knowing to get me tickets to my favorite band! Just felt like sharing the love. :D

You know KB, I used to like Tool (still do), but what is being played on the local stations have given me a stale taste for them. It's nothing against Maynard and his style(s).. I like A Perfect Circle also, but radio stations only play (and can only play) certain songs. But I swear I have turned the channel many times when I heard him start singing "Who are you to point the finger....". Great song, but too dang long to hear 3 times a day.

Did you ever buy the video box set that came out a few years ago?
Oh man the graphics where phenomenal!!

APC's song 3 Libra's reminds me of my high school years.

I'm mainly a jam band guy but I also enjoy reggae, folk, jazz, funk, bluegrass, classic rock and electronic music (trip hop/trance/idm/livetronica)

Right now Umphrey's McGee is my favorite band. Seen them three times and they get better every show I go to. Check them out if you've never heard them. If you took the progressive style of Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, mixed it with the jams that Phish and the Grateful Dead did and threw in a little New Deal/STS9 electronica dance music you've got Umphrey's McGee.

Also a big fan of:
Grateful Dead
Phish
String Cheese Incident
Widespread Panic
Disco Biscuits
Yonder Mountain String Band
moe.
Leftover Salmon
Strangefolk
Ween
Railroad Earth
Galactic
Tea Leaf Green
Primus (or anything with Les Claypool)
Sound Tribe Sector 9
Gov't Mule
Perpetual Groove
Lotus
Sim Redmond Band
New Monsoon
Assembly Of Dust
The New Deal
Bela Fleck & The Flecktones
Juggling Suns
...and many more

If anyone has any suggestions for me I'd appreciate it, I'm always looking for new bands to listen to.
