Yes..grey water is easy to do, and it's amazing how much landscaping you can water w/ it. I had a washer only doing this..and It's SUPER important, like it says, to use all-natural, biodegradable soaps whose ingredients do not harm plants.
I was also paranoid about ground water, as one property ran on a well..so again..watch where you put it - but it really is a very good thing to do!

I liked the idea of making a mini wetlands in a bathtub as a filtration system, did you see that?

Our house water isn't hooked up like that (yet), but our washing machine water is used to water the plants. Not our crops, just flowers and shade trees. LOL It's just a hose running out the back of the machine instead of it going to the sewer. Nothing wrong with it, just soapy and dirty.

Thanks Frog, I've joined their mailing list.
University of British Columbia in Vancouver has one for their flower gardens-you might want to contact the horticulture dept ther for more ideas.
