Welcome to the first Happy Hippie Book swap thread!

To get started, please post a list of books that you have to swap. HTML is enabled in this thread, so feel free to post images as well of your books (please not huge files though)

Every user has a 'user reputation' which is found to the right of every registered users post. It is a small green box. If you click on it, you may see their current level. It takes 10 positive feedbacks to get each box. The more boxes a user has, the better their trade reputation.

You will see some text when you hover your mouse over the green box - this is just the default text that came w/ the program. We will be editing that to be more in line w/ Ebay user feedback soon.

We will also have a sticky thread exclusively for user feedback.

Tips on how to do a successful swap:

To keep costs down, get basic brown wrap paper and wrap the book before shipping. Weigh and send parcel post. You may do all of this online at USPS.gov - you can even print your own shipping label yourself (no need to drive anywhere)

The minute you receive your book from another user, please remember to leave positive feedback for that user, and vice a versa.

Please allow at least 5-7 days for a book to arrive. If you are sending books to Canada please allow up to 10 days.

Try to resolve issues personally via email first. Use the forum as a last resort if there is a serious issue.

There should be NO MONEY involved -as this is a book swap. The only fees incurred are shipping costs to each other.

Feedback is welcome! :hippie:

Just wanted to share a little info. Depending on the weight of the book, it may be possible to send it first class cheaper than parcel post...

...also, you can send printed matter ( as well as dvd's & cd's & the like) via media mail which is most times very reasonable if not cheaper than other methods. I've sent lots of things like this through the mail for ebay and thought I would share.
