Limoncello

Any limoncello fans here? I'm going to make some...not sure if I'm going to use vodka or grain alcohol..but going to post a link for those who want to try it.

It is a lengthy process, and will take up to 40 days. But I thought what a cool treat to have around once spring pops in!

I wonder if we should have a General Recipes section, under the Healthy Recipe section. That way we can post food & drink recipes that may not be as healthy as we would like them to be.

I know, long time ago I ate a hole cup of cherries soaked in it and thought hmmm this isnt effecting me, then Kablamo, I was vomiting all over. Rough stuff, I learned my lesson.

Limoncello is the tastiest liquor. When you drink it for dessert after a tremendous Italian dinner, it is one of the most refreshing things in the world.

On the flip side of alcohol, I drank far too much vodka last night, and this is a bad morning. I really hate getting drunk, I'm thinking of going sober for a while.

Zounds Zesty! I've never had it before. I am not good at drinking anymore. I am a wine snob, I love to listen to Al Stewart or Cat Stevens, light some incense or oils, maybe take a toke and enjoy a pinot noir or a cabernet.

... and when we're out of that, and out of 2nd choice, and 3rd choice ... and nobody seems to want to go home yet ... then we dig out the grain and the Welch's and clean out the frozen juice section of the freezer and mix up a tub of Purple Jesus. :29:

Man, that brings back some memories. I'll have another coffee mug of that Annie Green Springs, please, if we're all out of the Almaden Mountain Red. :D
