I'm new here so I don't know if this has been mentioned or what not, but granny smith apples (the green ones) specifically have been proven to relieve headaches. I'm assuming this fits under this topic so...anyway, if you're around, in the vicinity of, a granny smith apple for about ten minutes, it relieves headaches. It has worked for me. I get the WORST headaches and don't like taking pills so I cut open an apple and leave it near me (unless I eat it) and it seriously helps relieve the pressure. I know it sounds weird... (unless this is something that everyone knows) but it works. Try it out. Everyone is different but once I heard of it, I tried it and it worked. :bud:

wait a minute... just being near the apple works?
I am going to buy 75,000 apples and sit in them and see if they cure me! :)

lol. seriously, it totally works. just like um, lemon and sea salt for your teeth. best thing ever (esp. if you hate foam)...i have some quirks and one of them is definitely "normal" toothpaste. oh my goodness, kills the bacteria and cleans without the garbage. so good. but yes, i leave an apple around me when at home. try it out. no guarantees, but it has worked for me and others

Heck, theres no chance an apple is just gonna sit around and get left to turn brown. i LOVE apples, it would be a waste....:D

hehehe...no way. you have the apple. it sits there, nearby, for ten, say 12 minutes...headache gone. whatever is in the granny smith really helps... i'm not just making this up. it'd be absurd. at least i can say that it's worked for me and others BUT it's not advil...i mean, all those pills will definitely do the trick, but if you want something a little more healthy and natural...try the apple. anyway, it's good for you regardless! :)

i was at the store earlier and bought a 4 pack of graples
smell and taste like grapes, look like apples
went to their website and it's not some sort of cross mutation, just apples that go through some patented process and get infused with grape juice
kinda neat as a novelty but not really worth it for the price

eeeh!!!!! GRAPLES!!! i love it. even if they're nasty and whatever, the name and concept appeals to me. broccoflower is one nasty hybrid veg/ mutation or whatever that is SO gross. at least to me. i could dig graples though. love the grape (esp. when fermented) and the apple...oh the apple. but the graple... it could be my new thing! must check it out. i don't remember if you said they looked like apples...yeah, but tasted like grapes...so it's like a huge grapish thing. what a deal. oh yes :hippie:

I think id rather just buy some grape and apple juice and mix them together.

thats how i feel, especially for $4 for a 4 pack, but for the gimmick factor it was worth a try once. they get to be cheaper than grapes and i'll think about it

ok, update on the apple situation. so (as a few of you may know, i've had these horrid headaches, esp. today) I went to the store after vinny reminded me of my own tip and guess what guys...the granny smith WORKED. no headache. yes, shoulders are sore, back hurts, whatever. my head is hurt free. so, there we go. at least one piece of evidence to back my theory. yay!

Woah! I'm have to try that. I get headaches pretty frequently, so I shouldn't have to wait too long to experiment, haha. I'll tell you how it goes~

yeah, let me know how it works. i had a migraine the other day and had a pile of them around me (try cutting one open too...) and the migraine was too intense. normal headaches, yeah...an apple (green!) and um, a glass of wine never hurts :) but works w/ just apples... everyone is different though i guess. can't wait to hear of your headache!! (no offense...not wishing one on you)
