The rise of the Euro has some businesses in New York City accepting that currency alongside the dollar for the first time.
With Americans spending less, the trend to accept Euros could spread to draw in the shoppers who will.
Thoughts?
What states do you think will do that next?

if it brings more woman from the UK with their sexy accents than I am all for it! Think Fey, Tina!
seriously, I don't care if for an economic system we barter in yatzee chips. In fact, once I build a platform, I will stand on it and convert us from a gold based economy to a yatzee chip based economy.

Im surprised actually. So that means the dollar is dwindeling right?
I dont see Arkansas taking euro, but Im sure major cities will follow along.
We do take canadian money now too? And does that mean the euro is going to be incirculation or what, how are they going to keep it all straight?

it actually isn't that hard to keep it straight. I believe they use the value at the beginning of the day. So a value is set in comparison to the American dollar and they go from there. They give the change back in American Money.. eh-heh.... and there-in lies the rub.

US Dollar = The New Peso
That should be W's legacy.
I can see him stuttering now, "I have taken the dollar and I have turned it into the new peso. I am hoping that is a good thing."
oh wait, is that on topic. I don't want to be accused of chatting in a thread by the post nazi.

and why did you delete that last thread in the other category? because you were afraid people would respond negatively to you. there was no reason to delete that thread. if every thread that disagrees with "the man" is going to be deleted than count me out.

Enjoy having your dead-ass forum back. There are plenty of other forums that appreciate hearing from people.
there was absolutely NO REASON to delete that thread. If I was being whiney in that context it would've been in your interest to keep the thread... but instead it was deleted so that no one would read what I had to say.
This forum wasn't supposed to be about censorship and nothing that I posted crossed any ethical boundaries but still was deleted. screw that.
all hail the forum nazi.

good gawd i miss some funky stuff whilst i am at work
the dollar is in the crapper. i'm feeling pretty good because i keep a few hundred bucks in assorted foreign currency in a safe, turns ot the 200cdn i got at .52 cents on the dollar is worth way more now...time to go trade it in for some us money
here's a thought what with the peso talk. maybe w is undermining the dollar in the hopes of the north american unified currency to be the counterpart to the euro. last time they talked about it the major gripe was that canada wouldnt be so bad but the peso would pretty much murder it. it sure would make it easier to pay all the guest workers he wants to employ.
