sometimes i find it hard to differentiate between what i dreamt (or previously experienced in another life) and real life?
probably doesn't make any sense.....
but my "reality" is often surreal?
anyone else ever get that?

Deja vu- A tiny, almost infintesimal, lapse between two sensory nerves centers (in the brain) that normally function simultaniously.

It's like you're getting the same information twice but so close together it makes for that "interesting" feeling.

Does that mean a brain tuneup is needed?

Peace :D

...wow i think this is my first post in here ..partially cuz i rarely remember my dreams :(
I have encountered deja vu though...and its very freaky. Thanks for the definition above Pedata, it'll gimme a starting point for interpretation when it happens next:)

..actually now that i think about this a little more...
... my "reality" is often surreal?...
...is this kind of a 'high' sensation even though yer not?...cuz i've experienced this also...when i was high on excitement, adrenalin and sheer enjoyment... some grateful dead days were like this...

I get deja vu pretty frequently. Kind of gives me the creeps. I think that if you get deja vu that it means that you are taking the right direction in life. That is one of the quirky things that I made up as a child though. :)

I get it daily, I almost think mine is backwards but still feels the same, almost. I feel something will happen or be said and I play it all out in my head it feels so familiar to me like it happened, and the later that day it will happen or pretty similar to my feeling, I guess thats more like psycic then deja vu just feels the same!! I can sit there for 10-20 minutes with these scenerios going on in my head and the phone will ring (at work) and I have to answer it but I dont want to I want to see what happens!! its always weird little things I see though, like the gas station guy and his no teeth and he spit on me when he talks, ya weird stuff!! ok I guess I am off the subject now!! later :D

i'm really glad that you posted this.. i know exactly what you mean.. especially how it's not like just regular deja vu. sometimes i just get 'feelings'.. and all this stuff that's going to happen.. or that i remember thinking.. but couldn't have possibly thought yet.. starts swimming together.. i feel like i'm going crazy.. overall it just reaffirms my belief that time is not linear at all.. more like a magnificent cosmic kaleidoscope, don't you think?

pedata.. you have NO idea how much you mean to me right now!!!!
i get deja vu probably about 3-4 times a week and often tell people if they can scientifically explain it to me so i feel like i'm not realllly going crazy, then i would love them unconditionally forever!!
now.. i don't know why i never went and actually looked it up myself, but thanks for the explanation that cures my curiousity!

Yes! You do NOT have a brain tumor, lol! Before I learned what it was I used to really wonder. I thought it was from taking acid. It is the wierdest feeling.

I did it a lot when I was in my teens and sometime in my twenties. Rarely anymore tho.

Does this mean you love me unconditionally, now? :D
