so its paper and paper is trees, but as far as a really cool handmade gift it is neat as all get out and easy enough for the craft illiterate
stumbled across this via some long odd searching for somethign else
download or design your own and print glue and present basically, little polygon models of damn near anythign if you look hard enough
quick searches turned up star wars models, halo suits big enough to wear (from the halo video game, which i dont pla, but the suits look cool) and a little forest scene with trees and such
the software is called pepakura designer
