You sir, have started the most wacked out thread in awhile.
What I love about Disney is that they hire their employees as actors and force them all to conform to a uniformed standard. I am cool with this.... so long as they pay them the same wage that Brad Pitt is pulling down.
Disney Sucks!

Well now at least we have a verifyable link between Mickey Mouse and jack-boots.

The impact that Disney has on our society is sickening. Take your kids to a National Park and teach them something. Take them to Germany and show them another culture. Don't take them to some fradulent look-alike park.
it's ridiculous.

Hopefully by the time you reach adulthood you begin to realize how creepy and empty those places are.

I actually did a lot of research on the um, links between disney world as a dystopic "intentional community"...i'll find the link, ok, so it's not the one i was actually referencing, and haven't read the entire thing, but it may be of interest to some of you. the community at disney world is "celebration" and it's frightening. they scored their own zip. makes me mad, the whole thing.
CELEBRATION!!! (http://www.americansc.org.uk/Online/Celebration.htm)
so yeah, it's not the best article, but somewhat insightful for those unaware. cool thread by the way!!!! :hippie:

In the early 70's my husband (a wee lad) went on Disneyland's "It's a Small World" ride. It broke down, and he was stuck on it for over an hour. They kept the music and animated kids going the whole time. To this day, if he even hears a few bars of that song (It's a small world), he starts to sweat and freak out.

hippie, that's SO funny, i mean...sounds like a NOT good time, but that stuff seems to always happen. i mean, remember that kid (sorry, not disney world or land...) but there was this kid that went on a water ride at some, almost equivalent (?) park and he was killed by a snake on the ride. totally tragic. i can't remember the vivid details, seeing it was so long ago. but eh, disney world can rot for all i care. and walt disney himself, what a total... piece o' garbage.
