Loofah Soap Slices

Organic Glycerin soap base
A round loofah
Essential oils
Soap dye [optional]

1. Melt your soap base according to the instructions.
I usually microwave it.

2. Add the dye [if required] and cool for 5 minutes. Add the essential oil.

3. Tightly wrap the loofah in cling film, making sure you seal one end well [to stop any leakage].

4. Stand the loofah up [sealed side down] and pour the melted soap into the open end, until it's full.

5. Place in the freezer for about 3 hours until set.

6. When hardened, remove the cling film and cut into 1" slices.

I absolutely adore this idea and as soon as I have Loofahs off my plant I will be making these.
They would make lovely presents, you could wrap them in some pretty tissue paper and tie ribbons on them.

Have you tried these? They sound fun but I'm afraid they would be scratchy. If you make some let me know how they turn out. :)

Those are too fun .. I want to do these!! I want yellow and orange..looks like citrus fruits. I like the scrubby aspect. Good for the ol' skin.
