Let's say Obama gets the nomination, as does McCain..
Does Nader have an impact on the Obama votes - will this be a repeat of the Gore Bush election?
Thoughts?

Nader is washed up as far as being a viable presidential candidate. He would make more sense as someone who heads a think-tank or lobbyist group. As a Green Party Member I am embarrassed that he will probably get the nomination once again. There insistance of wasting effort and resources on candidates who are not viable is really putting me off.
I may actually consider re-registering as unenrolled because they are pissing me off.
Why can't they focus on actually winning some elections... regardless of how small.
Each elected official puts you one more step to actually effecting and making change.
I would rather see them throw support to Obama for now until they can come up with a candidate of their own.
Nader will take 2% of the vote at best. I also WILL NOT vote for him if he is the Green Party Candidate. It is a joke.

The day that any Green Party candidate has a prayer of winning then I will vote for them. Republicans love the Green Party. What better way to distract significant numbers of left-oriented voters? And it doesn't cost them a cent. If the Green Party had put it's energy into viable candidates maybe the inmates wouldn't be running the nuthouse today. We all want the ideal leaders but sometimes you just have you settle for ones that are adequate otherwise you just might end up with ones that are ridiculous and criminal.

I hear you brother, I hear you.
I will vote for the evils of a lesser before I vote for a grandstanding fossil that can't take more than 5% of the vote from a qualified candidate.
I am also thinking of changing my political designation so that I can vote in the Democrat Primary.
I like being on the lunatic fringe but I am paying far too much each month on anti-depressants to remain a lunatic.
good-bye Green Party.

What I find ironic is that Nader cost Gore votes, and we got Satan Bush in office in 2000.
Meanwhile, Gore will be remembered in the history books for being the first one for screaming 'Global Warming' in a worldwide publicized setting.
Seems like we had the green party in retrospect.
I'm just sayin'.

Meg you are so good to me. But to be honest, "Satan Bush" has me chuckling and it is hard to focus on the rest of the message.
Can you believe "Dick" Cheney shot somebody during his time in the oval office. I mean when was the last time that happened?
George Bush has been a blundering idiot.
Wait... I change my vote. I want Romney. I can't give up 4 years of free comedy just because of some climate change or social injustice. It is all worth it just to see who Mitt's VP Candidate would shoot.
oh yeah, and for the first time we would have more than one first lady in the whitehouse.

The thing is Nader is a nuissance to both the GP and to the Dems. In fact, in my many apology emails from the GP they have acknowledged that a LOT of GP members are upset about the Nader situation. He is really splitting the party at this point.
