Nothing is closer to my heart than the Bison problem in Yellowstone. If it isn't morons on snowmobiles it is this....

Please do what you can to protect the Bison. I mean really, we already hearded all the native americans on reservations. Can we at least leave the Buffalo what little land they have left?

If the cattle industry wasn't so powerful maybe people would come to realize how much more efficient bison are for producing food. Healthier too.

Bison is a much healthier meat. Maybe a little gamey for some but I prefer it.
they offer it at smokey bones around these parts.
I also buy it at the local supermahket.

I FAR prefer bison/buffalo bergurs to beef burgers. So much more flavorful and healthier to. DOUBLE whammy on beef.
But it is considerably more expensive, here at least.

here it is more expensive as well. Not a lot more but I would say 1 buck per pound. but as 1 person that isn't bad. If I was feeding 4 that might be a different story.

ummmm...so disturbing article. not very happy. but, yeah, you guys eat your bison, and i'll let them live and not pay for their dead bodies. not judging (NOT JUDGING) just... whatever, i'm not down w/ eating a living animal, but for those who are, that's cool by me. not shoving my politics down anyone's throat (but i had bison when i was 10--right before i went veggie--and thought it was pretty gamey myself!...) so anyway, cool that they did street theatre! that kind of made me smile even if the article was a bit depressing... :hippie:

Well, free range small farm meat is all fine and dandy with me.
None of this high volume hormoned, force fed, caged crap.
