I think I posted this somewhere before but there is a *new* sewing book out. I heard great things about it. There are even patterns inside. Here is the link to the new book:

I wouldn't mind a copy of that book if anyone has it. I have threads for heads if anyone needs a copy also.

I just purchased the Threads for Heads book and just got it in the mail today. It wasn't much help to me because I'm a seamstress and I've been sewing for 25 years. The one thing that I needed to know was not in the book. I should probably already know the answer since I've been sewing for as long as I have, However here goes.....I need to know, when making a patchwork apron dress, you attach the skirt to the bodice, the peice at the top of the skirt that is not attached to anything.....what do you do with that peice? Meanning do you just hem it under? Do you gather it or is there elastic in that section?
Thank You so much to anyone willing to help a sista out. ;)

If you mean when you have a lace-up back and there is that space where no bodice is, then usually people put elastic in there so that it can stretch out, but doesn't sag. I find that using elastic thread and stitching a few rows works well and isn't as much of a hassle as using a piece of elastic. But everyone has their own preferences. Hope I helped!
