This notion that we’ll have water forever is wrong. California is running out. It’s got twenty-some years of water. New Mexico has got ten, although they’re building golf courses as fast as they can, so maybe they can whittle that down to five. Arizona, Florida, even the Great Lakes now, there’s huge new demand.

its so fustrating, it feels like everything I do to try and help is a wasted effort. I wont ever give up but come on people open your eyes, stop building stop taking, lets give back, simplify our lives. Aagh.

I see what your saying. I don't though that this is a climate change issue as much as a poor stewardship issue. I mean Las Vagas is a poster child for this. Why on earth do we need building sized fountains in the middle of the desert! People are so frustrating. There is so much excess in our country and people aren't even willing to take small steps to fix the problems that that excess causes. I personally am really excited about gray water. I think it will be the next phase of change in our country.

I do have a problem with the theory that we are exporting all of our water through our agriculture. It is true that we export a lot but we import as much or more so I would think the logically it would even out.

Las Vegas is hell on earth. a nightmare of electricity and water drain. feel the desperation. see the old, destitute and bored throw there quarters into the whore machine. The mob, Frank Sinatra, scam.

Nothing like a golf course in the middle of the desert to suck the water away. Or as you mentioned, 85 foot fountains.

go to a national park you fat slobs and stop wasting all the water.

and take down that fucking damn while you are at it and give the natives back there land.
