Wow, that's really eye-opening. I can't imagine spending $341 a week though. That is pretty much what I spend in a month. :)

Wow. Really is an eye opener. My husband and I spend about $150 every couple of weeks, and we thought that was a crazy amount, but we buy a lot of fresh veggies & fruits, which of course is more expensive than canned goods, chips, etc. Thanks for the post!

Allow me to point out the nackrecees in this post. But first notice how many famlees round the globe eat 'merican munchie food. Lots. Thats how many. The Demicrats say we don't compeeet in the wurld markit, which means we don't make nutin nobody wants. Lies to undermine the war on tare. And a try at makin you feel pity. I tell you there's plenty of hard workin 'merican famlees with nothin in their cupboards and I dont care bout them neither. Nice try pinko. Any ways this morning two of these countries have been added to the axis of evil cross them off. Chad isnt a country its a florida voter trying to indicate his intenshuns. Some of these folks have a little too much pigmint, warlords are mean and U.N. dont like it there... too dusty. That leaves Us 'n Germany. See what theyre payin for food? God bless 'Merica you are fortunate and we are not in resesshun.

second week of the month is about 300, and the other weeks is about 100 on the average week, that isnt just food though, it includs all the other supplies and stuff.
we could probaly do 150 a week give or take but this is just how we figure it in with the bills
no chips, few snacks, no soda
figure chips at 3 bucks a bag and $1 for a 2 liter, think of the savings some of those families would have if they switched to tea and apples w/peanut butter (my favorite)

Frog..I'm sorry your Bush speech is WAY too realistic. SppooOOookY.
I saw on the news (actually international bloomberg on cable at 11PM when I think the real Sh*T comes out on TV) that the US will be importing wheat within the next 9 months.
America. Importing Wheat. America. Holy crap ... we will grow nothing soon except useless crappy GE corn.
Anyway..ROAR ROAR. Got me all amped up lol
I just powered thru half a loaf of bread. I am too darn embarrassed to tell you all what I eat. Depending on the week.. $80-100 though for a fam of 3.
I can't look at the Chad picture. That kills me. (again, as I sit here bloated from way too much indian flat bread)

What frustrates me is that it costs so much to eat fresh fruits and veggies in our country. If we ate like the Italians and Egyptians it would cost twice that. I mean just the green peppers in the Egyptian pic would cost about $15 here. :(

Importing wheat, that has got to be a joke? What the hell. I cant wait till spring, I am going to preserve all that we grow this year. I know some farmers that grow wheat, soy, they dont make crap to begin with and they work there butts off. We are one sad import crazy country.
