Ok slap me silly and call me Sally, but I kind of like this idea here:

... and when the inlaws come to visit:

Seriously though, I like the use of the containers to elevate some of those, the insides probably make great shed/storage space not to mention hydroponic gardening space too.

Those tree house ones look cool, but scary!!!!

Hydro grow room, very nice idea :D It would be cool if they were all connected to eachother, so you could go from one to another.

There's all kinds of neat things you can do with one of those containers;

what does an arkansas divorce and a tornado have in common?
someon is losing a trailer

they can be had for fairly reasonable once they have come to the end of their service life for shipping.

our company has some 24 footers that they picked up for 1000 bucks. makes for secure storage when we get big wire shipments, our cost on the big stuff is over $12 a foot, scrap value is about $2 per foot. one 500 foot spool stolen makes the 1000 seem cheap.

anyway
the damn things ought to be tornado proof as long as they are sunk a foot or 2 into the ground

any plan involving trailers even on the ground scares me. but that is some funny stuf. that fancy foldout house out to have solar cells up top
