Love your website, and the forum.
Got it linked from my site - Dreadhead Times (http://dreadheadtimes.com/)
Peace.

Hey, Nate!
My baby dreadies are 2 months old. I have to say that I got them for 2 reasons - 1) they are beautiful and 2) low maintenance.
Well, yes, they are beautiful, but, no they are not low maintenance - so far. I have fine, stick straight hair so they have been a lot of work to get to tighten up. I've made a lot of mistakes so far. But, slowly but surely they are coming along and are starting to actually look like dreads.
That's my story. I looked at your site - good info. And, yes, you do need a good friend willing to f--k around with your hair for hours. I have a problem asking anyone to do it very often, so the front and side of my hair are pretty dreadie - but the back is a mess!
Peace,
Soul Candy

The great thing about dreading fine hair is that you finally have some body to your hair. Albeit, it is matted, frizzy body - but speaking as someone with Marcia Brady hair - it's great to have something other than hang straight down and look almost bald hair. As my great husband says, "You are a lot more interesting to look at with dreads!"
