Did I just get one upped by the T-man. Even in my most delirious ranting state I didn't have us all turning to cannibalism.
I admire someone who is willing to put themself out there and make a complete ass of themselves.
So my question is, when we all turn to cannibalism, who do you eat first?

Doesnt sound "to" crazy, it could happen. And I would eat hippies first :D
This war needs to end, we need to focus on our country and the earth. Im scared for everyones futures, what weve become is something I am not sure people can snap out of. Disposable everything, by new, bigger better faster. Id miss my computer but Id give it up in a heart beat to have simpler times ahead.

I see a lot of people just buying things as a form of recreation. Rather than spending time together, or enjoying what they have, they feel the need for that quick fix of the spent dollar.
I would eat the conservatives first! For when the hippy's inherent the earth the meek shall rise to first.

Definitely eat the Republicans first. Much fatter and juicier than the lean mean hippies.

I remember Charlton Heston reminding us that if we take his gun, we will have to take it from "his cold dead hands."
That seemed like a challenge but I have decided to just wait a few years and his hands will be plenty cold and he won't be able to put up much of a fight.
Much like most of the conservative ideals, their time has passed and we just have to wait for them to pass away.

I just went to the republican county convention and I think you might like the changes coming with the future generation. I was really encouraged. The starkest contrast came out when we voted on a "family values" plank that contained an endorsement for a constitutional amendment defining marriage. The voice vote was close enough that we had to do a standing count. When they called for the "ayes" everyone 40 and older stood, when they called for the "nays" everyone under 40 stood. It's really close but unfortunately we lost. :( There was a similar vote over "staying the course" only we won that one. I think in another 15 yrs when the old timers die out things will look very different. Just don't ask us to give up our guns.:)
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I have to go with Libra on the free range hippies. Good lean meat there. :D

"Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command"
Regardless of how much an older generation wants to block progress at some point they have to come to terms that it is inevitable.
... even for conservative! ;)

If it gets that warm then I'm heading further north. Can you imagine the human rat race strung out with mad human disease?
On a more serious note...did anyone know that certain active duty military, retirees or veterans who served in certain parts of Europe during the 80's and 90's can never donate blood...ever. The concern is mad cow disease.
This is from the American Red Cross website...http://www.redcross.org/services/biomed/0,1082,0_557_,00.html
There is now evidence from a small number of case reports involving patients and laboratory animal studies that vCJD can be transmitted through transfusion. There is no test for vCJD in humans that could be used to screen blood donors and to protect the blood supply. This means that blood programs must take special precautions to keep vCJD out of the blood supply by avoiding collections from those who have been where this disease is found.
At this time, the American Red Cross donor eligibility rules related to vCJD are as follows:
You are not eligible to donate if:
You were a member of the of the U.S. military, a civilian military employee, or a dependent of a member of the U.S. military who spent a total time of 6 months on or associated with a military base in any of the following areas during the specified time frames
* From 1980 through 1990 - Belgium, the Netherlands (Holland), or Germany
* From 1980 through 1996 - Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Italy or Greece.
There are more catagories but this applied to me and no one ever told me until I went to donate blood for my wife's grandmother.
